Welcome

Welcome

Welcome

Professional

Welcome to my practice.  I am a clinical psychologist, licensed to practice in the state of Massachusetts.  My graduate training includes a Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Applied Educational Psychology.

Responsive

In my practice, I offer individuals an opportunity to examine past choices, current patterns of behavior, and impending decisions in a curious manner that promotes self-reflection and increases self-awareness. Together, we attend to your unique experiences and respond to your individualized needs.

Experienced

For over ten years I have worked with adults, adolescents, college students, and their families in a variety of settings, including Tufts Medical Center, Lincoln-Sudbury High School, Riverside Outpatient and Urgent Care Clinics, and Brandeis University.

PRACTICE INFO

Psychotherapy

I provide psychotherapy to adolescents and adults suffering from a range of issues, including:

-  Depression

-  Anxiety

-  Prolonged and Complicated Grief

-  Family Conflict

- Relationship Difficulties

- Adolescent Relational Bullying

- Infertility

College Counseling

The college years can be particularly tumultuous for young adults as they begin to increase their independence while also depending on their families, the university structure, and their social networks.  College students can benefit from meeting with a thoughtful counselor who can help them find stability during this overwhelming life transition.

Supervision

Clinical supervision is offered to clinicians seeking support and a deepened exploration of their work.

About

  • Bio
  • Experience

As a graduate of Boston College, my professional career in psychology began with a master's and advanced graduate degree in Applied Educational Psychology from Northeastern University.  After years of neuropsychological testing at Tufts Medical Center and working as a school psychologist at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School and Acton-Boxborough Junior High, it became clear that significant psychological growth can take place in a less quantifiable but no less qualitatively meaningful way.   What evoked the most sustained, lasting change in individuals could not be measured using standardized instruments; through careful listening, curious attention to the verbal and nonverbal expressions of feelings, and a powerful therapeutic relationship, symptoms abated and radical shifts occurred in how individuals experienced their lives.  With this understanding I pursued a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology, and deepened the resonance of what I had earlier begun to understand - that meaningful change is the result of a therapeutic process that involves shifting one's gaze inward.  After interning at Riverside Community Care's outpatient and urgent care clinics, and completing a post-doctoral fellowship at Brandeis University, I opened a private practice that offers a space for individuals to embark on a search inside themselves in the comfort of a supportive and compassionate listener.
